I WILL NOT waste taxpayers' money on unnecessary legal & consultant fee

When I have the honour and public support to be re-elected to the 2023 council I will put forth a motion to eliminate the indemnification By-Law, as in my opinion it is never acceptable to use taxpayers money to take legal action against a taxpayer.

If the utilization of professional legal services or consultants determine a recommendation I do not personally agree with I will not duplicate the exercise and expense in an attempt to get a recommendation that I do personally agree with.

I will lobby to increase council involvement related to major initiatives and limit the current level of delegated authority. Where committees are formed to work on the details of major initiatives and where an appropriate level of delegated authority is granted by council, I will recommend that members of the public with related experience be added to the committee to ensure a high level of transparency.

I will put forth a motion that no individual town staff member can negotiate a major real estate transaction on their own and that all communication with a prospective buyer / seller needs to be conducted by a negotiation team of a minimum of three staff members appointed by council.
