PRINCIPLE CENTERED LEADER

I WILL continue to always demonstrate PRINCIPLE CENTERED LEADERSHIP

When you have a set of core principles that are the pillars of your decision-making process your approach becomes very consistent. In my case, honesty, integrity, and the greater good of the community are always the litmus test when making decisions. Look at the track record of all members of the council over several terms and see if what was opposed previously is still opposed, look at what was supported previously, and whether it is still actively supported. The level of public trust in government has greatly diminished and this occurs when campaign promises to gain votes are never followed up once politicians are elected. It happens when decisions are made that do not appear to be the best option for the greater good of the community, it occurs when politicians do not listen to their constituents, and it happens when valid concerns and suggestions do not receive wholesome discussion and consideration. It happens when residents’ perception is that too many decisions are being made behind closed doors. It happens when the public sees nepotism, cronyism & favouritism. And it happens when politicians demonstrate personal agenda driven leadership!
